The Coronavirus has impacted the U.S. Economy, as well as, the livelihood of small businesses everywhere. This has been significent in the hospitality industry due the cancellation of weddings and various celebratory events. We have spoken with numerous colleagues in the Wedding Cake Industry that have asked about cancelations, and how this has impacted our business.
We wanted to take a moment to address how Couture Cakes by Sabrina will be responding to this pandemic. We know that this is a sensitive time for clients with events, and we are prepared to make this time as easy as possible. There's nothing more important to us than the safety and wellbeing of our clients. But beyond that, we also know how important your event are to you, now more than ever.
We are continuing to monitor guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other public health officials along with local market conditions. In the meantime, listed below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to address any forthcoming concerns:
What is your rebooking process? We will work with you or your wedding planner to plan a new date for your event. No additional fees are charged for the rebooking. However, if the venue is located in a different location, delivery charges may apply.
What if you aren’t available on my new date? Couture Cakes by Sabrina will do its best to provide a “faux” decorated cake for pictures and kitchen cakes provided to serve your guests.
If the wedding is canceled due to the Coronavirus, what options do we have regarding our retainer? According to our contract, we do not provide a refund on your retainer. The retainer was used to hold your wedding date. However, we are more than happy to schedule a new date for your cake delivery.
What if the venue cancels my date? If the venue cancels your wedding date, we will work with you and/or your wedding planner to lock-in a new date for your event.
We hope that this was helpful. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
